LGBTQI+ Cultural Competency Training
For the past 2 years, we have been bringing our training near and far to clinicians, administrative staff, and BHTs —as well as teachers and community leaders.
Our mission is to support the LGBTQI+ community in recovery. We know that every treatment center is dedicated to providing ethical and effective care of the highest standards. Our training programs will only increase the level of care your staff is able to provide.
The truth is that the LGBTQI+ individuals face discrimination on a regular basis - many of whom have been rejected by their family or their peers. The effects are devasting and are just one part of the equation that puts the LGBTQI+ community at a 20-30% higher risk of addiction.
One of the goals of our training is to increase staff awareness of the LGBTQI+ community, the challenges they face and the incredible resiliency these individuals have that should be celebrated by counselors and allies in the industry.
